About the author

Tim Johnson is a historian and lifelong basketball nerd who admits to staying up late to watch the tape-delayed broadcasts of NBA playoff games in the '70's. He also cops to rooting for hoemtown hero Bob Lanier to win the one-on-one title held during halftime of ABC broadcasts, and considers Dr. J's free-throw line dunk during the 1976 ABA All-Star Game a physcial feat on the level of Lindbergh's flight across the Atlantic. He has a wife named Marsha and a puppy named Sam, both of whom are wondering why she married someone this crazy. He also has a father and a mother (both now deceased), and this book is for them- Dad for introducing me to the wonders of basketball, Mom for putting up with me using her lampshades as Nerf basketball hoops. Thanks, guys...
